Founded in 2014, Serious Gaming Cluster Finland is a network for Finnish serious game companies developing products with a primary purpose other than pure entertainment. That purpose can be to educate, to enhance business, or to increase well-being, for example. We are working within five sub-clusters of Learning, Wellbeing, Environment, Gamification and Simulation.
The purpose of our network is to promote Finnish serious games and provide networking and business opportunies for our members, as well as to encourage cooperation and knowledge-sharing between them. We, for example, arrange both open and private training, informing and teaching gatherings as well as festivities.
Serious gaming is a layer overlapping diverse demographics, industries and markets. Through integrating Finnish game design into meaningful products and services we are creating the platform for sustainable new growth.
SGC Network facilitates exchange of information, evolution of cooperation and thrive-able business opportunities locally and globally. Our strategic partners include Tekes, Forum Virium, Helsinki Business Hub, Playful Learning Centre, Helsinki University and Espoo Innovation Garden.
